Zelma Grace Turnipseed at age 86, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 15, 2025. Born on September 5, 1938 in Oklahoma.  Zelma dedicated over five decades of her life to her career as a paralegal, demonstrating unwavering commitment and meticulous attention to her professional endeavors.

She graduated from Howe High School in the class of 1956. Zelma was a long standing member of the First United Methodist Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma where she decorated the altar with fresh flowers on numerous occasions.

Zelma is survived by her sister, Mary Sue Cunningham of Kennebunk, Maine; her daughter Marcie Adkisson and husband Darrell of Anadarko, Oklahoma; granddaughter Krystal Pinnick and husband James along with three great grandchildren Logan, Max, and Owen all of Queen Creek, Arizona.  She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Story and Chloie Driver; her beloved husband Thomas Turnipseed of Anadarko, Oklahoma and her sister Betty Jo Ingle Doyle of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Friends may view on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Becker Rabon Funeral Home in Lawton, Oklahoma.

In her memory, there will be a graveside service with her nephew, Phil Turnipseed officiating on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, Oklahoma. Zelma will be remembered for her witty sense of humor.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
