At age 41, Xiomara Diera Gonzalez passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma after her courageous battle with small-cell lung cancer.

Xiomara was born on August 10, 1984, In Fort Riley, Junction City, Kansas to her parents Glenda A. and Jose A. Gonzalez. Xiomara was known for her love of making people laugh, travel, music, dancing (even in grocery store aisles) and especially for celebrating her favorite holiday, Halloween.

Xiomara had a nickname for every family member and friend, and always made sure to say her signature, "Love you be careful, Stay safe and healthy!" no matter the circumstances. She is a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to all she impacted in her lifetime.

In her loving memory, she leaves behind her mother and father, her sister, Celita Moncrief and husband, Joel, her uncle, Dennis Newton and wife, Carolyn of Lawton; three aunts, Sedelia Bumpass and husband, Johnny of Durham, North Carolina, Carolyn Solomon and husband, Dennis of Killeen, Texas, and Kathy Newton of Lawton, along with her many lovely cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis L. and Lois J. (Beaty) Newton, uncle, Larry Newton, aunts, Denise Sublett and Tina Fuller, and cousin, Juan (T.J.) Bumpass.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Xiomara's graveside funeral will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery.
