William Thompson, 67, Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his home in Lawton.

William Thompson was born November 19, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to Carroll and Truma (Tony) Thompson. William was a father, husband, and grandfather. He was known as grandpa, dad, and by his stage name William "Tex" Thompson and his coal mining nickname, Teardrop. He was a loving and caring person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He enjoyed cooking and talking with his grandkids and was known for playing the drums. Everyone who knew him knew he was an awesome musician. He will be greatly missed here on earth, but will forever live on in our hearts.

William is survived by his three daughters and their families, Andrea Thompson and fiancé Wendell Webb-Bey, Jr. and their three children, Tysia, Ellanae, and Akyndrea Webb-Bey all of Davenport, Iowa, Ashley Thompson and her children, Anastasia, and Donavin of Hillsboro, Illinois, Heather Roseman and husband Anthony and their children, Anthony Jr., Dexter, and Alexander of Tooele, Utah.

William was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Alexander Roseman, and wife Beverly Thompson.
