He retired from Maverick on August 8, 2011 and went to work for Kiowa County on August 9, 2011, where he drove a truck until the time of his death. Bill and Patsy enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time with their grandchildren. He was lost without the love of his life Patsy, whom he missed deeply this last year since her death. He was known to always enjoy life, and to make everyone laugh with his infectious humor. Papa was loved by all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who never missed an opportunity to go to Papa Bill's house.
