Funeral service for Wayne Lorance, 86, Mountain Park, OK will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel with Rev. Cody Lorance, Senior Pastor of Trinity International Baptist Mission, Aurora, IL officiating. Mr. Lorance passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Hobart, OK. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, OK under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening, July 21, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. He was born September 4, 1928 in Mountain Park, OK to Ray M. and Ruth M. (Bevers) Lorance. He married Norma Dean Marler on March 12, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX. Wayne was a longtime educator, serving as basketball coach, principal and superintendant at numerous schools throughout Colorado and Oklahoma. He and Norma enjoyed attending numerous sporting events and antiquing together. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the many students he taught. Survivors include his wife Norma of the home, four sons, Steven Ray Lorance of Crescent, OK, Dennis Wayne Lorance and wife Teresa of Ada, OK, Joe Lorance and wife Darla of Shawnee, OK, Michael Dean Lorance and wife Cindy of Mulhall, OK, a sister Patsy Anderson of Fairfax, VA, twelve grandchildren, Stephanie M. Lorance of Oklahoma City, Amy Shaw of Bethany, OK, Brian Lorance and wife Kelly of Ada, OK, Jay Lorance and wife Tina of Pittsburgh, PA, Cody Lorance and wife Katherine of Aurora, IL, Joe Lorance and wife Alicia of Altus, OK, Casey Lorance of Oklahoma City, Kristy Lorance of Perkins, OK, Kevin Lorance of Mulhall, OK, Michael Lorance and wife Melissa of Allison, TX, Carra Benson and husband Stace of Round Rock, TX, Amber McManamy of Orlando, OK and numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lue Ann McManamy and a great grandson Cooper Silvers.
