Obituary

Graveside funeral service for Wayne Feldman will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Allyn 'Wayne' Feldman was born on May 19, 1948 in El Paso, Texas to William and Bertha Feldman.  He passed away at home in Lawton, OK on September 12, 2018 at the age of 70.

Wayne proudly served his country as a US Army Reservist for seven years as a senior information officer, achieving the rank of staff sergeant.  His education achievements included earning a Bachelor's degree and Master of Education degree.

Wayne enjoyed two professional careers.  The first was a 22-year career in retail management where he rose to the level of store manager for TG&Y Stores Company in Ponca City and Chickasha Oklahoma.  Later, he served in civil service as a Department of Army training developer at Fort Sill and as a contractor for companies that included Northrop Grumman and Potawatomi Training.

After retiring, Wayne enjoyed traveling with his wife and spoiling his grandsons. He was known amongst his family and co-workers as a prankster. From salt in your morning coffee to a lump of horseradish in your mashed potatoes, no one was safe. Wayne's family often joked that if he messed with your food, it meant he liked you. Family was everything to Wayne. Nothing made him more proud than his wife, kids, and grandsons. Even though Wayne has traveled all over the world, his favorite place was sitting around the kitchen table with his family sharing memories and creating new ones.

Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Kym, and a brother, William Royce. Survivors are Joy, his beloved wife, a sister and her husband, Connie and Jimmy Shiver of Tallahassee, Florida and their family.  Wayne is also survived by his three children and their families, including Lee Feldman and his wife Beth and their children Cade, Rylan, and Ralston; Cheryl McKendry and her children Michael, Mason, Landon, and Logan of Oregon; and Steven Feldman and his wife Kaetlyn of Lawton.  Wayne also leaves behind the family basset hound he called Girl, and a shih tzu named Krikit.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
