Funeral for Wanda A. Carlile, 81, Lawton will be at 1:30 PM Friday, April 4, 2014 at Eighth & Lee Church of Christ with Dave Dugan and Ronnie Ward officiating. Mrs. Carlile died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Lawton. Burial will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the funeral home. She was born to Frank and Golda Hillis on October 11, 1932 in Lawton. She attended Lawton Public Schools and Cameron University. She married MSG (Retired) Gale P. Carlile on July 9, 1950 in Lawton. He died on April 19, 2005. Mrs. Carlile worked for Southwestern Bell and then Civil Service at Fort Sill until her retirement in 1992. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Mary Carlile, Colorado Springs, Colorado, two grandsons, Grady Carlile, Colorado Springs and Aaron Carlile, Ha'an, Ha'an University, Peace Corps, China, a brother, James Hillis, Corpus Christi, Texas, a niece, Barbie and three nephews, James, Frank and Richard, all of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Sandra Branson and her parents.
