Age 75, Snyder - Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Mountain Park Cemetery with Ron Suiter, Minister, Church of Christ, Snyder, officiating. Mrs. McAnerney died Thursday in a Lawton hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. Walleah was born May 2, 1934 in Mountain Park to Dr. and Mrs. Charles R. and Mabelle Preston. She was a 1952 graduate of the Snyder High School and attended the Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha for 2 years. She served as secretary to the commanding officer at Fort Sill where she met her future husband Walter P. McAnerney. They were married in Germany at a later date. As an Army wife and loving mother to Patrick Kevin, born in Germany, followed by Heather Susan in Tokyo, Japan and Charles Preston in San Antonio, Texas. She was widowed in 1974 and practiced nursing until her retirement. Survivors include a son, Charles Preston McAnerney of Snyder; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Patrick and Amber McAnerney of Lawton and Pakalana of Hawaii; great grandchildren; dear friend, Nora Birdwell and her daughter, Dana; and a niece and nephew Preston and Charla Sue Memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsey Association, 1660 L Street NW Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20036 or First United Methodist Church, 918 E Street, Snyder, Oklahoma 73566.
