Funeral service for Virginia Marie Garnett will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrel Maddox officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Virginia Marie Garnett, age 95, died October 2, 2015 at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Oklahoma City. Virginia was born September 14, 1920 in Grainola, OK to Joseph and Louise Martin. She married CW3 (Retired) James Walter Garnett in Austin, TX on October 23, 1942. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2008. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked in the Lawton Public School system as a cook. She was a member of the Lawton Heights Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Ronald Garnett, and his wife Lisa of Bethany; daughter Trudy Levick of Oklahoma City; a sister Millie German and her husband Richard of Ozark, MO; two grandchildren, Christina Sober and her husband Daniel of Wetmore, CO and Mary Watts of Katy, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Devin Levick of Oklahoma City, Skyler Garnett of Ada, and Christopher and Caitlin Watts of Katy, TX. Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters and two brothers, two grandsons, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law.
