Funeral service for Vida B. Jones, 90, Lawton, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Jones went to be with her Lord on Friday. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Vida B. was born on April 10, 1921 in Laredo, Texas to Stephen and Flora Ola (Bunn) Jackson. She married Leamon Jones in Lawton on June 2, 1950. They owned Leamon's Shoes in downtown Lawton for many years. She was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Crusaders Class. Mr. Jones died on July 4, 1982. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Stephanie and Sam Jenkins, Lawton; a son, Hurst Jones, Oklahoma City; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Johnny and Mitzi Jenkins and Michelle and Russell Alexander, Lawton; and five great grandchildren, Stephanie Alexander, Samantha Alexander, Brooke Jenkins, Alexia Jenkins and David "Boo" Miller.
