Age 80, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Sparks died Friday at her home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born August 18, 1928 in Yates Center, Kansas to Ben and Lula (Smith) Blandy. She married Patrick H. Sparks in 1955 in Oklahoma City. He died in 1983. Mrs. Sparks worked for Southwestern Bell in Arkansas City, Kansas before transferring to Lawton. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Jean Sparks McAlister and her husband Gary, Lawton, a twin sister, Laverne Day, and sister, Milly Harris, both of Orlando, Florida, a brother, Richard Blandy and his wife Martha, Denton, Texas and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Ellinger.
