Funeral service for Traci D. Brierton, 33, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Frontier Chapel Center, Fort Sill, with Chaplain (COL) Jerry Jones, officiating. Traci died February 11 at her residence. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, Duncan, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born August 19, 1977 in Lawton. She grew up in Lawton and was a 1995 graduate of Macarthur High School. She graduated from Cameron University in 2000 and held a bachelors degree in both Accounting and Business. She married Kyle Brierton on June 9, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Traci began working at Wayne's Drive Inn in the summer of 1995 and continued working there until the time of her death. She was also employed for Civil Service at Fort Sill in the Resource Management Office. While in high school she played the flute in the high school band as well as participating in the flag corps. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Traci is survived by her husband, of the home; her mother, Sandra Minnick, Lawton; her father, Gary Minnick, Lawton; a brother, Jason Minnick, Oklahoma City; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Wanda White, Duncan; several nieces and nephews. Her paternal grandparents, Pete and Alice Minnick, preceded her in death.
