Toni Gayle Leonard Britt was born in El Reno, Ok on March 19th, 1955, to Robert M. Leonard Sr. and Jerry E. Laird Leonard. Toni died at home with family in Lawton, OK, on December 27th, 2015, after a brief struggle with cancer. In her final days, Toni had a constant companion in her daughter, Mindy. She called Mindy a great blessing.

Toni was a gifted artist and attended Oklahoma City University. She found joy in painting the world as seen through her eyes. She thoroughly enjoyed painting a mural on the nursery wall for her grandson, Grant. She loved creating art in all forms and saw the whole world as her canvas. Toni enjoyed doodling and designing while at home and creating one of a kind jewelry while working at J. Thomson Custom Jewelers with her sister, Tracey, and brother-in-law, Jeff.

From a young age Toni had a passion for horses. As a child, she would play with and draw her toy horses. In her adult life, Toni spent several years surrounded by real horses. She often told the story of sitting pregnant with her daughter, Tammy, while one of their mares who was with foal laid her head on her own pregnant lap. Toni also loved dogs and brought many into her home and family throughout her life. She believed her dogs were members of her family and treated them as such.

Most of all, Toni loved her family. From late night card games to drawing goofy faces on the chins of her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed making and reminiscing about memories.

Toni truly believed that God had a hand in all things in her own life and she cherished God's word and will. She was a steadfast daughter of Christ and took any opportunity to share His love and hope for salvation with anyone who would listen.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. Leonard Sr. and Jerry E. Laird Leonard. She is survived by her sister, Linda, and husband, Russell Tinsley, of Henderson, NV, brother, Robert M. Leonard Jr., of Bethany, OK, sister, Tracey, and husband, Jeff Thomson, of Oklahoma City, OK, son, Brandon, and wife, Hiedi Huntley, of Oklahoma City, OK, daughter, Tammy, and husband, Andrew Wright, of Salt Lake City, UT, daughter, Mindy, and husband, Geoffrey Brand, of Lawton, OK, grandchildren, Kelsie and Aubrey Huntley of Oklahoma City, OK, and Grant, Annabelle, and Audrey Brand of Lawton, OK.

There will be a private graveside service for close friends and family at El Reno Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in her name to Aspire Hospice, 7205 West Gore Blvd, Lawton, OK 73505.
