Funeral service for Tom R. "Tommy" Monse will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2025 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jim Coe of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Tom R. "Tommy" Monse, 57, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Born on June 25, 1968, in Seoul, South Korea, Tom spent his early years immersed in the vibrant culture of the city. He attended Frankfurt American High School in Germany before pursuing studies in athletic training and pre-physical therapy at Cameron University. In 1994, he earned a master's degree in exercise physiology and kinesiology from the University of Oklahoma. For nearly thirty years, Tom was the proud owner and operator of Tom's Card Kingdom, a cherished local shop that became a gathering place for collectors and enthusiasts. Known for his warm welcome and smile, Tom created a space where all felt at home. His sharp eye for rare finds and love of spirited negotiation made each visit to his store a memorable one. HAIL TO THE KING! Tom was also a devoted sports fan with unwavering support for the Chicago Bears, White Sox, Black Hawks and The Bulls. He enjoyed poker nights and the camaraderie they brought, always ready with a challenge and a laugh.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Chong Prothro (Lee), Stepfather, Randolph Prothro (Randy), sister, Amanda Foster (Monse), sister, Elizabeth O'Brien (Monse), Melissa Snyder, his faithful companion and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Riggins

Tom's legacy lives on through the friendships he nurtured and the welcoming community he built. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and joy to those who recall the laughter that echoed through Tom's Card Kingdom.
