Funeral service for Timothy Ira Bennett will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 28, 2025 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Jared Byrns, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Timothy Ira Bennett, age 64, of Lawton, Oklahoma, went to be with his Savior on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Tim was born on July 1, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ira and Norma (Tumleson) Bennett. Tim was the youngest of four children and the only son. His three sisters were Cathy Allen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vicky Jim of Grove, Oklahoma, and Becky Glidewell (deceased).

Tim was a devoted husband of 42 years to Carol. They married on June 26, 1982. He is also survived by his son, Jonathan and his daughter-in-law, Elisabethann. He was the proud Papa of three grandchildren Reuben, Lorien, and Ruth.

Tim graduated in May of 1982 with a bachelor's degree in business management from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Tim and Carol started off their married life teaching school at Metropolitan Baptist School in Madison, Tennessee. In 1991 Tim took a job with Dick Corporation, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a traveling office manager. They lived in five different states and the Caribbean Island of Nevis. Tim became the Capital Budget Auditor/Project Accountant of Goodyear of Lawton in July 2002 until the end of November of 2024.

During their work travels, Tim served the Lord in each church in which their family found a home away from home. He volunteered to serve in whatever area the church was in need. Tim endeared himself to family, including eight nephews and seven nieces, and many friends with his quick wit, silly humor, honesty, faithfulness, but most of all with his loving heart for his Savior and everyone he met.
