Funeral for Tim Taylor, 52, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Jim Antwine officiating. Mr. Taylor died Saturday. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Tim was born on March 19, 1959 at Fort Sumter, South Carolina to Charles and Annmarie (Duke) Taylor. He was a graduate of MacArthur High School. He married JoAnne Mauro on October 17, 1987 in Lawton. Tim was a recent retiree of the Lawton Fire Department, were he served for over 27 years as a fireman, assistant fire marshal and fire marshal. Tim received several certifications in technical emergency response education. He was three times awarded fireman of the month. Upon his retirement he received from the mayor's office a certificate of appreciation for outstanding professionalism, courtesy and dedication to the citizens of the Lawton Community. Tim is survived by his wife of 23 years, and his son, Ryan, both of the home his father of Lawton, his brother, Michael Taylor, Jacksonville, Florida, his sister, Teri Koren and her husband, Robert, Dallas, a niece Keli Chambers and a great niece Izzy Chambers, both of Lawton and several other nieces and nephews.
