Funeral service for Thurman H. Bishop will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday, June 18, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Oates, associate pastor at Lighthouse Church of God officiating.

Burial will follow in Cache Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Thurman H. Bishop, age 82, of Lawton, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Lawton.  He was born January 6, 1934 in Wilson, Oklahoma to T.H. and Beulah (Blackburn) Bishop.  He married Roberta S. Gilbert on October 1, 1954 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Mr. Bishop graduated from Cache High School.  Following graduation he was an aircraft mechanic.  He was retired from Civil Service.  He then became a handyman to the nicest ladies in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, daughter, Jeffie Bishop, of the home, two sons, Robert Bishop and his wife Freda and Scott Bishop and his wife Tina, all of Lawton, four grandchildren, Kris Bishop, Ben Bishop, David Bishop and Tiffany Smith and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, B.D. Bishop, sister, Colleen Simmons and grandson, Tyson Bishop.
