Age 93, formerly of Fletcher - Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Cyril, OK with Don Ray Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, Oklahoma under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher (Formerly Robbins Funeral Home). He died Saturday in Athens, Texas. Mr. Biggs was born December 8, 1914 in Henderson, Texas to Benjamin D. and Vashti Barton Biggs. He was preceded in death in 2007, by Ruby Mae Biggs, his wife of 71 years and 29 days. Mr. Biggs moved to Henderson County in 2007. Mr. Biggs served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a pipeline mechanic in the oilfield business. He retired from Anderson Prithard Oil Refinery after 30 years of service. He has been a member of Masonic Lodge #504 of Oklahoma for over 60 years. Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jesse McMichael of Athens, TX and Sue and Joe King of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Boyd "Buddy" Biggs of San Marcos, TX; a sister, Anniece Swagerty of Cyril, OK; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
