Terry A. Turner, Sr., 64, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home in Lawton surrounded by his loving family. Terry Turner was born December 12, 1960, in Louisiana, Missouri. As the child of a military family, Terry lived in many places before eventually settling in Oklahoma. He often reminisced about his friends from school, and those memories remained close to his heart throughout his life. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1978, after which he was accepted into Lincoln Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas, where he further honed his technical skills.

Terry was a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America during his Junior High and High School years, achieving the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 15. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail were trademarks throughout his life.

A perfectionist by nature, Terry demanded the same high standards from those around him. His career path reflected this drive for precision. He was a skilled mechanic, a truck driver, a diesel mechanic, and a self-taught handyman who became a highly respected remodeling contractor. His work on the MLRS at Fort Sill was particularly notable, and he was often recognized for his extraordinary efforts in this area.

Terry was a man of many talents. He did hair, worked as a florist, and even embodied the spirit of Christmas as Santa Claus. His creativity knew no bounds. He also loved to travel, especially to visit family in memorable places like Japan and Alaska. Above all, Terry was known for his deep passion and his ability to pour himself fully into the things that mattered most.

He was a man of strong work ethic, creativity, and unwavering honesty. Terry was reliable, thoughtful, and selfless, always giving of his time and talents without expecting anything in return. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kim.

Terry is survived by his mother, Jan Sutton; his children: Terry Turner Jr. and wife Kristen, Lacey Holmstrom and husband Todd, Kelly Turner, and Zac "Bear" Turner; and his beloved grandchildren: Easton Turner, Ella Turner, Rhett Turner, Lainey Turner, Jordynn Holmstrom, Adalynn Holmstrom, and Brynlee Turne r . He is also survived by numerous other family members and cherished friends who held a special place in his life.
