Graveside service for Terry "Kent" Brown will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Rock Creek Cemetery just south of Central High, Oklahoma, with Pastor Sam Buzzard of Central Baptist Church, Central High, Oklahoma, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the funeral home.

Terry "Kent" Brown, 61, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Terry Kent Brown was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on December 19, 1962, to Winona (Fincher) and Floyd Brown. He graduated from Central High Marlow. After graduation, he went to Cameron University, where he met his wife, Janetta LeAnn Wiersema. Kent and LeAnn would have been married 40 years on November 2, 2024. They had two children, Jared Brown and Kylie Blaine.

Kent had several jobs throughout his life. He worked at Zales as a sales manager. This job eventually moved him to Arkansas, where he also worked at Riceland Foods, Post Cereal, and Anchor Packaging, where his career in safety began. The family moved back to Oklahoma, where he worked at Assurant Group, Great Plains Technology Center, and Red River Technology Center. During this time, Kent was also a pastor at Alma Baptist Church for six years.

Kent is survived by his wife, LeAnn Brown; his son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Kirsten Brown; daughter, Kylie Blaine; father, Floyd Brown; and brother and sister-in-law, Art and Dawn Brown.
