Teresa Danette Floyd, 58, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her home in Lawton surrounded by her husband and two sons. She was born on December 1, 1966, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Joseph and Sharon Bolt. Lawton is where she met the love of her life, Mark Floyd, in 1983. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School in 1985. Mark and Teresa were married on November 8, 1985. She worked in a local printing shop and worked at a title company. In 1988, they moved to Tuscan, Arizona where she worked for a title company and as a bookkeeper for the local dog track. They then decided to move back to Lawton, Oklahoma to be with beloved family. Upon their return she worked for another local title company until she started working towards her CNA and ultimately earning her LPN license after years of hard work while still making time to be sure her family was loved and cared for. She worked at a local dialysis clinic.
Teresa loved spending time outdoors. Much family time was spent on camping trips where they enjoyed their time at places like Beavers Bend, Cedar Lake, Tom Steed, Waurika, and enjoying the family boat house at Lake Lawtonka. She enjoyed traveling to Tombstone, Laughlin, Vegas, San Antonio, and Bullhead City to visit her Poppy.
Family was very important to Teresa. She selflessly provided care to her Papaw until his passing, and provided care to her mother-in-law, Margie Floyd, until her passing.
Teresa was diagnosed with Scleroderma and Lupus, but she didn't let that stop her from enjoying the light of her life, her granddaughter Maddelyn.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Floyd of Lawton, Oklahoma, two sons, Justin Floyd of Lawton, Oklahoma, Colton Floyd of Lawton, Oklahoma, a granddaughter, Maddelyn Floyd of Lawton, Oklahoma, two sisters, Aletha Bolt of Yukon, Oklahoma, Cindy Bolt-Baeza of Amarillo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sharon Bolt.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation at Schleroderma.org.
