CACHE – Telesa June Singleton Bymaster, 54, entered peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
Telesa was born on December 13, 1963, to the late Bobbie Joe and Irene Moon Singleton in Lawton, Oklahoma. She grew up on a small farm near Indiahoma, and attended Indiahoma Public Schools through graduation.
From across the room at a dinner party in 1980, Telesa caught the eye of Bradley Mark Bymaster. In a moment he was smitten by her beauty, and she by his playful nature and ability to make her smile. Telesa married Mark, the love of her life, on June 12, 1981. It marked the beginning to their great love story, a love rooted in their souls that would grow and be an example of God's gift and intent of marriage. Though faced with both good times and hardships, their nearly 37 years of marriage is a testament of their unwavering love for one another. It was evident to others, he never stopped pursuing her love, even as he held her in her last moments here on earth, and her love for him was steady and true. Together they raised 3 children, instilling a love for God and family through their example. She often reflected back on her time as a stay-at-home mom as her most treasured time of her life, and believed her children to be her greatest accomplishment and contribution. Family was Telesa's passion, as demonstrated through her faithful devotion as a wife, Mom and Nana. She unselfishly lived her life for her family and loved every moment; on any given day she could be found working cattle with her Daddy, helping a friend alongside Mark, or supporting her children in the pews/stands at church, school or the ball fields. She loved to read, especially to her children and later her grandchildren, as well as spend time gardening and riding horses. Life with Telesa was filled with love, joy, beauty, tenderness, toughness, and strength, and her impact on those she loved will live forever.
Those who knew Telesa were drawn to her sweet and simple demeanor, as well as her chocolate chip cookies. She was "Mom" to many who needed one, and her nurturing love extended well beyond her own family. Much of her life was dedicated to education, as she cherished learning and teaching children. She earned multiple degrees, including a B.S. in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, as well as a M.Ed. in School Psychology and a M.Ed. in School Psychometry from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She used her degrees to help treat and enrich the lives of numerous children and young adults over a career of 21 years in special education.
Telesa's faith was very important to her; she loved God above all, and believed in prayer. She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. Telesa's favorite bible verse was Galatians 5:22-25. She lived by the Spirit, and so, the fruits of her spirit will live on in those who know and love her. She will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Billy Bob Singleton.
Those left to celebrate her life, cherish her memory and carry her legacy include her husband of 36 years, Mark Bymaster; son Dr. Adam Bymaster and wife Kristen of Montgomery (TX), daughter Ashley Carrisalez and husband Justin of Cache, and daughter Jordyn Zimmerman and husband Wesley of Cache; her grandchildren Grant Bymaster, Grace Bymaster, Gage Bymaster, Mya Carrisalez, Mason Carrisalez, Ali Carrisalez, Reid Zimmerman, Rhett Zimmerman, and Ryan Zimmerman; sister Glenda Kinney and husband Robert of Newalla, brother Jimmy Singleton and wife Lisa of Lawton, Donna Singleton of Snyder, Debbie Bowden and husband Tommy of Lawton, and Penny DeLong of Elgin; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Telesa's memory may be made to Western Hills Church of Christ.
