Funeral service for Sundy Robin Cox will be 9:30 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Miles, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, September 28, 2015 at the funeral home. Sundy Robin Cox, age 65, of Lawton, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Lawton. She was born August 29, 1950 at Fort Lee, Virginia to Orville Robert and Phyllis Lillian (Reterstoff) Barton. She married William Ray Cox on October 26, 1968 in Geronimo, Oklahoma. Mrs. Cox was a member of Central Baptist Church where she served as a preschool Sunday School teacher and also sang in the choir. She had worked as a teacher's aid for Lawton Public Schools. She was also called Mom by many of her children's friends. Mrs. Cox was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her husband, William Ray Cox, of the home, two sons, Christopher Ray Cox, Golden, Colorado and David Cox and his wife Kerri, Little Elm, Texas, daughter, Emily Ann Taylor and her husband David, Edmond, father, Orville Robert Barton, Adams, Wisconsin, four grandchildren, Addison Cox, Owen Taylor, Pierce Taylor and Ella Taylor, sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Al Haynes, nephew, James Haynes, great niece, Bethany Haynes and great nephew, Matthew Haynes, all of Richmond Hill, Georgia, extended family, Jennifer Zacker, Golden, Colorado and her cat, Gem. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Lillian (Reterstoff) Barton.
