Funeral services for Steven Wayne Young will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Lighthouse Church of God, in Lawton, Oklahoma, with Pastor Delbert Hughes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home.

Steven Young, age 40, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on July 12. 1983, where he attended and graduated from high school. He then worked as a physical therapy aid, and later worked as a security guard for the Republic Paper Plant.

Playing drums was Steven's passion. He attended the Lighthouse Church of God where he played them every Sunday. He would message his mom every Sunday morning asking her "Church?", making sure that she didn't miss going with him. Steven was one who we could always count on, and he was always there when needed. His presence will be missed deeply.

Steven is survived by his son, Codder Wayne Young; mother and step-father, Gina and Jimmy Plumley; five brothers, Jimmy Plumley, Jr., Greg Plumley, Jeremy Plumley, Jason Plumley, and Cody Plumley; two sisters, Martha King and Jennifer Plumley; aunts and uncles, Donna and George Martinez, Billy Young and Cheryl Hankins, Clayton Plumley and Lena Bennett; two cousins, Stephanie Boggs and Dustin Thomas; two best friends, Chantal Boyd and Terry Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy and Joan Young.
