He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School in Sun Valley, CA before attending Central Junior High and graduating from Lawton High School. He worked construction his whole life. He worked for Tuck Construction Co. for 16 years, learning to run heavy equipment, doing road construction, sewer line and water line construction. He then worked for Bruton Construction for 18 years building bridges all over the state of Oklahoma. Since 1998, Steven was currently working for the Western District of Comanche County. Steven married Donna McAlister on February 26, 1972 in Lawton. In 1992 he and Donna started a small home based retail business. This was a great joy to him, and they traveled all over the state with their "trinkets from the hills of Greece". Steven and Donna loved their vacations and picked a new place to visit every year. He was the ultimate family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great granddaughter and his fur children, Boomer, Gidget, Chica and Scooby fiercely. Steven had an interest in making Lawton a better place to live. He always supported the police department and was a fierce defender of animals and the Lawton Animal Shelter. Steven was also very proud of being a Comanche County first responder for disaster situations. He was a huge Donald Trump supporter and was always defending him, whatever the issue.
