Age 59, Snyder - Funeral services will be at 10:00am Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder with Richard Lauer, Minister of Community Church, Frederick, OK officiating. Mr. Thompson died Saturday in a Lawton hospital. Inurnment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. He was born June 22, 1951 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Alvin Ernest and Audra Juanita (Campbell) Thompson. He married Gaye V. Parnell on December 20, 1973 in Vernon, TX. She died November 29, 2008. He had worked at Goodyear, and truly loved the outdoors, golf, hunting and fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather, and will be truly missed by all. Survivors include his two children, Chasity and husband Scott Calvin of Manitou, OK, Brad and Amber Thompson of Choctaw, OK, four brothers, Ronnie and wife Jeannie Smith of Tulsa, OK, Charles and Fran Smith of Taylor, AZ, Jerry and Betty Smith of Snowflake, AZ, Jimmie and Sharon Smith of Tipton, OK, five grandchildren, Ashlee Calvin, Seth Calvin, Blake Thompson, Zack Thompson and Abigail Thompson. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and mother-in-law, Lahoma Parnell.
