Funeral service with full military honors for SSgt Jermaine "JJ aka Big Swole" Schroder will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain CPT Jarrod Foerster, Fort Sill, Oklahoma officiating.

Jermaine Jerome Schroder, 28, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Surf City, North Carolina.  He was born February 27, 1993 in Schweinfurt, Germany.  He was raised in Schweinfurt and later moved with his family to Lawton where he graduated from Lawton Senior High School.  He was currently serving in the United States Marine Corps for the last nine years as a 3043 (Supply and Material Management).  SSgt Schroder enjoyed going to the gym for self progression, and had the discipline to further his education at George Washington University for his Masters in Finance.  During the weekends he was a car enthusiast.  He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughter Giovanna Maria Schroder, his mother Michaela McElroy, sister Aisha Roberts, brother Shahid McElroy, step-dad Craig Gillon, Step-dad Ray McKelroy, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.
