Graveside service with full military honors for SSG (Retired) Ricky Dale "Pa" Reese will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Highland Cemetery Lawton, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

SSG (Retired) Ricky Dale "Pa" Reese passed away surrounded by family Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 69.  He was born December 21, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Bill and Treda "Harris" Reese.  The family relocated to Michigan where Ricky grew up and attended school.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17, retiring after 20 years of service.  During his service in Korea he met and married Yim Yong Suk "Sukie" the love of his life.  They were married on February 4, 1975 at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.  She preceded him in death on October 12, 2005.

Following his retirement from the Army he worked for a short time as a truck driver.  He later worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as an environmental contractor for several companies including the I.T. Group and the Shaw Group.

Lovingly known as "Pa" to his family and friends, Ricky enjoyed playing golf and going to the casino.

He is survived by his daughters Charlene Jones and husband Jason and Lorena Viola Kay Christensen and husband Tyle; his son, Ronnie Reese and companion Heather Matt; grandchildren, Cody Rezac, Brandon Jones, Suki Jones, Tyler Reese, Brailee Moore, Julia Christensen, Jaden Christensen and Justin Christensen; great grandchildren, Jayce, Xander and Elijah Rezac and Emerson Moore; as well as several brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

His parents, a grandson, Ricky Dale Reese, and a sister, Sharon Kay, preceded him in death.
