Funeral for SSG (Retired) Kenneth Davis, 73, Lawton will be at 9:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Seung Sun Kim officiating. Sgt. Davis died Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Lawton. Burial with full military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. He was born November 13, 1940 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Alvin Harper and Vashti K. (Anderson) Davis. He married Kum C. Kang on May 23, 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. Sgt. Davis retired from the U.S. Army and received the following awards and decorations: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Three Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal Fifth Award, Army Commendation Medal, Three Overseas Service Bars and the Expert (rifle M-16). Survivors include his wife, of the home, son, Song Yi and his wife Gowun Lee, Dallas, Texas, daughter, Chong Matus and her husband Daniel, Lawton, two granddaughters, Dahae Chung and Dayoung Chung, both of Lawton and a sister, Margo Rhodes, Columbus, Ohio.
