Jose D. Delgado was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico on January 6, 1964, to Jose Delgado Sr. and Carmen Iris Dieppa. He had a happy childhood and grew up in a loving family. Jose graduated from high school in 1982 and enlisted in the United States Army. Years later, he met Maria Delgado-"love at first sight"-and they were married on September 3, 1997. Four years later, they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Naomi Delgado, "Daddy's girl."
He left active duty and joined the U.S. Army Reserves, where he served until his retirement after 37 years of service in the United States Armed Forces. SSG Delgado was a devoted soldier to the United States of America.
Jose had a passion for fixing and collecting cars. He was enthusiastic about car racing competitions and enjoyed attending numerous car shows. He was also a motorcycle rider, often riding in a pack to different places or just cruising and enjoying life. In his spare time, he loved listening to music, especially AC/DC and salsa legend Tito Rojas.
Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Delgado, and his daughter, Naomi Delgado. After living in Geronimo, Oklahoma, for 17 years and facing illness, Jose dedicated his thoughts and soul to Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Delgado Sr. and Carmen Iris Dieppa.
