Memorial service for Shirley Marie Morris, 65, Cyril, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher Chapel with Pastor Lynn Walker, Cowboy Country Church, Chickasha, officiating. Mrs. Morris died Thursday, December 11, 2014, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. Shirley was born May 28, 1949 in Lawton to Robert Leslie and Juanita (Blevins) Carpenter. She married Rick Morris on July 7, 1981 in Anadarko. She was primarily a homemaker but served as a foster care provider from 1989-2006. During that time period she provided care for approximately 175 children. She is survived by her husband, of the home; children, Kristina Coffenberry, Cyril, Eva Bashaw and husband Brandon, Chickasha, Amanda Lopez, Cyril, David Parrott, Cement, Patricia DeHart, Cement, James Parrott and wife Debbie, Binger; brothers and sisters in law, Les and Tarri Carpenter, Mike and Darlene Carpenter, Allen and Tammy Carpenter, Larry Carpenter and Bobby Carpenter, all of Cement; sisters and brother in law, Rose and Earl Knight and Wanda Green, all of Duncan; aunt, Carol Brown, Blackstone, Massachusetts; 26 nieces and nephews, 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her parents, a daughter, Shirley Ann Brown, and her brother, Lewis Dell Sorrels, Sr., preceded her in death.
