Shirley Louise Moralez, born December 28th, 1938, in Waurika, Oklahoma to Irene Florence and Oscar "Bub" Leon McMurtry, left us on March 2nd, 2026.

She joins her parents, along with her beloved son Ricky Lee Alandzes, brother Johnny McMurtry, and sister Mary Alvarez.

Shirley is survived by her husband Ray Moralez; sisters Rita Bowen and Linda Gregory; her two loving daughters Sheryle Claunch and Jennifer Harrison; stepchildren Richard Moralez and Christina Freeman; grandchildren Amy, Tiffany, Jenni Lee, Kelly Joe, Cory, Michelle, Rachel, Emma, and Clay; as well as a great many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren, all of whom she truly loved and cherished.

Shirley graciously spent much of her life in service to others, working in the Lawton school system at Howell Elementary serving lunches while her children were in school. She later built a career at Goodyear, where she met her husband, Ray. Shirley exemplified Christian values such as humility, strength, forgiveness, and love.

She cherished her church community, she found wonder and amazement in the beauty of God's green earth, and she fiercely loved her family. She will dearly be missed, but her spirit will live on in all of our hearts.
