Age 75, Lawton, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church located at 909 Tenth Street in Wichita Falls, Texas with Reverend John Dillard officiating. Mrs. McDonald died at home February 13, 2009. Mrs. McDonald was born March 31, 1933, in Aspermont, Texas, and attended Hardin−Simmons University in Abilene. She married James Rice McDonald of Burkburnett, Texas July 1, 1951 and they were together until his passing in 1994. She worked for the American Red Cross in Wichita Falls for a number of years. She is survived by her three children: daughters, Julie Ethredge and husband, Mark of Albuquerque, NM and Jennifer Winningham and husband, John of Lawton, OK; son, James M. McDonald and fiancé, Lindsey Poulsen of Albuquerque; five grandchildren: Aubrey, J. R., James, Luke, and Julianna Winningham; cousins, Dillon Cross and Doris Cross; nieces Rebecca Osborne and Paula Weeks; and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. McDonald's remains will be laid to rest in the family plot with grandparents John C. and Margaret E. Guest in the old cemetery in Aspermont, Texas.
