Funeral service for Sheryl Whitehead will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Jenkins, Pastor of Crystal Hills Freewill Baptist Church, Lawton officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends Monday evening, June 4, 2018 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Sheryl Whitehead, 71, Cache, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 in a Lawton hospital.  She was born January 9, 1947 in Lodi, Arkansas to James Millard and Iva Charlene (Turner) Vaught.  She married Arthur (Keith) Whitehead on January 18, 1964 in Duncan, Oklahoma.  Sheryl worked for many years in the Lawton First Baptist Church Child Development Center before her health forced her to retire.  She loved children, they were her life, especially her own and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She and her husband were charter members of the Crystal Hills Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of the home, her daughters, Lisa Bradley and husband Brian of Cache, Oklahoma, Dana Lohr and husband Fred of Cache, Oklahoma, her sister Virginia Hopper and husband George of Kirby, Arkansas, brother Rickey Vaught and wife Amber of Coppell, Texas, grandchildren; Keelyn, Devin, Dustin, Maci, Mackenzie and Jordan, great grandchildren; Carson, Maverick, Allie (soon to be born), Kole, Kyler and Axel.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
