Funeral service for Sherry E. Rice, 75, Lawton will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton. Mrs. Rice died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her home in Lawton. Private family burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Sherry was born November 18, 1937 in Lawton to Vernon and Vera (Greer) Lee. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1955. Sherry married Charles E. "Chuck" Rice on June 7, 1961 at Fort Rucker, AL. He died December 1, 2009. Sherry worked for the Board of Education for Lawton Public Schools, and worked as a secretary for Lawton High School. She is survived by her three children, Mark Rice, Rodney Rice and Robin Durham and her husband Wendell, all of Lawton, three grandchildren, Kourtney Durham, Hayley Durham, Makayla Rice, niece Dottie Dorsel of Tahlequah, OK and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, and her Aunt Vada who raised her.
