Funeral service for Sherry Ellen Lipe, 69, Flower Mound, Texas, will be at 12:30 pm Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Lipe died Monday in Denton, Texas. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Family to greet friends Sunday from 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home. She was born November 29, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas to Lewis Henry and Flocie Pearl (Braton) Proctor. She graduated from Russellville High School in 1959. She married LTC (Retired) Michael L. Lipe on February 24, 1961 in Stillwell, OK. This past February they were married fifty years. She was an LPN for thirty years, working in geriatrics, at Briar-Cliff Manor Nursing Home in Georgia and several nursing homes in Lawton. She loved to travel. She is survived by her husband of the home, her three children, Michael L. Lipe, II and his wife Linda of Hiram, GA, James F. Lipe and his wife Donna of Forest Park, GA, and R. Scott Lipe and his wife Cindy of Plano, TX. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Proctor and two sisters, Wanda Talley and Bobbie Caldwell.
