Shelly Lynne Williams died Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her residence in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 59. She was born July 6, 1964 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Clinton and Mary Catherine (Larrance) Herring. Shelly grew up in Lawton and was a graduate of Eisenhower High School where she was a state champion doubles tennis player. She married Joseph "Randy" Williams on September 5, 1981 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1990.

She then transitioned out of clinical nursing when she began working for Blue Cross Blue Shield in the Austin and Dallas area and she continued working for them after returning to her hometown. Throughout her entire nursing career, Shelly touched the lives of countless individuals.
She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church. She enjoyed tailgating with her friends for OU football games, going to the lake, boating and golfing but nothing gave her more pleasure than being with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children and their spouses, Heather and Justin LaRoche, Apache, Oklahoma, Jared and Nelly Williams, Cary, North Carolina and Cody and Cheyanne Williams, Richburg, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Sterling LaRoche, Kenzie LaRoche, Jessie LaRoche, Sofia Williams, Lucas Williams, Callie Williams and Charli Williams; her father, Clinton Herring, Sr.; mother-in-law, Rita Wilson; her siblings and their spouses, Clint Herring, Jr. and Fran, Earl Herring and Ruth, James Herring and Jane, Ruth Anne Herring and Cathy Herring and Chris Wike; brothers-in-law, Dick Woodman, Russell Williams and wife Mary Ann, and Rodger Williams and wife Karen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
