She was born on February 25, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts to Edwin F. and Gladys (Taylor) Malone. After thirty years of being a daughter and wife of the Air Force, Sharon found a home with her three children in the Lawton/Fort Sill community. She spent twenty-six years faithfully serving the Fort Sill Catholic Faith Community as the Religious Education and Pastoral Coordinator. She surrounded herself with her love of the simplicity of life: the sounds of the ocean, the joy of music, and the beauty of birds and blooms. Treasured by her children, family and friends, she leaves cherished memories and an extraordinary example of a life well lived. Survivors include three children, Jennifer H. Patterson of Lawton, Christopher S. Patterson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Heather G. Patterson of Oklahoma City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce Malone and Pat of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Terry Malone and Kem of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Kathy Capps and her husband, Jeff of Big Fork, Montana, and Ceil O'Reilly of Rochester, New York; seven nieces and nephews, Denise, Scott, Mike, Sean, Gem, Patrick and Brian; and a special friend, Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Dan O'Reilly.
