SGM (Retired) Ralphie "Rotten" Eaton, age 84, Elgin, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 peacefully at home.  He was born January 8, 1934 in Chilco, Idaho to William and Olive (Rush) Eaton.  He was a  husband, father, friend and one hell of a man.  He joins his son, brothers, sisters and parents in a joyous place.  Having served our country for thirty-one years in the Army with tours in Panama, Korea, Vietnam and two tours in Germany and always by his side holding down the home front his wife, our mother, Joyce.  His accomplishments, though many, stem from gallantry in Vietnam to becoming a world class shooter and becoming a European Skeet Champion.  His passion for shooting brought him much respect and a whole lot of friends.  In his life he had one love that always was his cornerstone, his wife of sixty-six years, Joyce.

He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Allen Eaton, his father and mother, William and Olive Eaton, brothers, Floyd Eaton, Leonard Eaton and Ray Eaton and sisters, Arlene McWhorter and Darlene Anderson.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Eaton, of the home, daughters, Judy Albin of Fallon, New York, Vicki Lucus of San Antonio, Texas and Cassie Ramos of San Antonio, Texas, son, Dale Eaton, of Del Rio, Texas and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren who will all miss their grandpa.

May ye sit by the right hand of the Lord for He protects his flock.  Rest peacefully.
