Graveside service with full military honors for SFC (Retired) William Kanoa will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Fort Sill National Cemetery with Pastor Paul Craig, officiating.

SFC (Retired) William Kanoa, age 82, of Lawton, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Lawton.  He was born November 3, 1936 in Kapoho, Hawaii to Melchior and Rose (Aka) Kanoa.   He married Dorothy J. Brown on December 17, 1988 in Lawton.   Sgt Kanoa served in the U.S. Army and retired in 1974.  His proudest achievement was becoming an LPN.  He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy J. Kanoa, of the home, three daughters, Ilena Kanoa, of the home, Lani Vasquez, Fort Worth, Texas and Jacki Barron and her husband, Darrell, West Melbourne, Florida, three sons, Jayden Kanoa, of the home, Paul Kanoa, Round Rock, Texas and Jim Vinson, Omaha, Nebraska, several grandchildren and many relatives in Hawaii.
