Graveside service with full military honors for SFC (Retired) Vallee D. Maddox will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

SFC (Retired) Vallee D. Maddox, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the V.A. Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born on March 15, 1935, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Vaughan and Velma (Elliott) Maddox. He was the second of two children. He graduated from Central High in Oklahoma City in 1954. He married the love of his life Sue Maddox in Cordell, Oklahoma and they were together for over 65 years. He joined the US. Air Force and then transferred over to the US Army where he retired after 21 years of service during which time he did three tours in Vietnam. After retirement he worked on aircraft for various companies until his retirement in 1997.

Vallee is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Maddox, daughter, Barbara Jean Ezzell and husband Buddy, grandchildren, Marsha and Alex, and one sister, Leah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Colleen.
