Funeral service for SFC (Retired) Norman Harold Dieter will be at 11:00 am Friday, December 4, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.   Burial with full military honors will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.   Norman Harold Dieter 84, Lawton died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in the Lawton-Fort Sill Veterans Center. He was born January 28, 1931 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Charles M. and Mary A. (Sheriff) Dieter. He lived in Pottsville until February 17, 1948 when he joined the US Army. He spent tours of duty in Japan, Korea, Germany and Vietnam before retiring February 28, 1970 at Fort Sill with 22 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Ingeborg Dieter. Norman was a kind and gentle soul who cared for people and would do anything for them. He was a devoted Christian, loved animals and was at times a prankster. He will be greatly missed.   He is survived by his longtime companion Marianne James.
