Funeral services for SFC (Retired) Michael B. Minor will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at New Light United Methodist Church, Lawton with Rev. Kiyoung Jeong, Pastor officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, it is suggested that masks and social distancing be observed while attending the service at the church.

SFC (Retired) Michael B. Minor, 73, Lawton passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born October 15, 1947 in Mansfield, Texas to Allon Bartlett and Dorothy (Murray) Minor.  He served in the United States Army for twenty years and then worked Civil Service at Fort Sill.  He served tours in Vietnam, Korea and Germany.  He married Chun Chi Chong on October 5, 1990 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Michael's passion was being a Ham Radio operator.  (WD5USA)  Michael was a people person, loved everyone and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Chun of the home, a daughter Teri Minor and son-in-law Arbin Munchel of Lawton, a son Travis Liford of Lawton, and grandchildren, Jayce Robinson, Karter Minor and a grandchild on the way in August.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt and uncle.
