SFC (Retired) Lloyd A. Halverson, age 83, of Lawton, OK went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Lloyd was born June 21st, 1932 in Gary, South Dakota to Charles and Beatrice.  He served 22 years in the United States Army. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Korean Wars. He married the love of his life, Juanita Halverson on January 13th, 1960. Though his only son and many grandchildren are not biologically his own, he treasured them as though they were and they definitely did him too.  He could often be found at Thunderbird Lanes bowling and having coffee with his second family.  Lloyd's words to live by were "learn something new everyday or it's a wasted day". He was a Christian man that lived his life with integrity and to the fullest.

Lloyd is survived by son, Jerry Pruitt; 6 grandchildren, Mike, Kathy, Rob, Shawn, Kassidi, Kari and spouses; 17 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; siblings, Raymond, Donald, Donna, Mavis and spouses; and many more loved ones

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita and brother, Verlin.

Family extends a special thanks to Dave Bennett for being such a faithful friend.
