Age 79, Clayton, Oklahoma - Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Sergeant Howell died Saturday in Paris, Texas following a brief illness. Burial with Full Military Honors will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born July 6, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to Lester L. and Goldie Marie (Curtis) Howell. He married Dorothy C. Sharp on February 14, 1959 in Port Clinton, OH. She died June 28, 1990. He was retired from the US Army in 1968 after twenty years of service. He then went to work for PSO where he retired as a Field Maintenance Supervisor after 14 years. He was a Life Member of the NRA. Survivors include his daughter Susan McIntosh of Humble, TX, two grandchildren, Christian Scott and his wife Jenny of Austin, TX, Brandy McIntosh of Humble, TX, and two great grandchildren, Winter and Patterson.
