On Sunday, September 3, 2023, Harold Gene Walker, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away at the age of 83, exactly 4 weeks shy of 84 years young.

Harold, a.k.a. Andy, was born also on a Sunday, October 1, 1939 to parents, Luther Brentley Walker and Beatrice Selma Jones in the small town of Pharr, Texas.

Andy grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the love for baseball, football and hunting. However, his love didn't quite match his skillset for the sports, so he settled for Choir as his elective, to satisfy his academic credits yielding him a Diploma from East Troy High School in Wisconsin, but don't be caught wearing a jersey that didn't represent his Wisconsin Badgers or Green Bay Packers. Lol

Harold's curiosity for the military begin at the age of 16 October 10, 1955, but he was officially enlisted in the army in October of 1961 and after serving 26 years 3 months and 27 days, he was granted his official retirement on April 30, 1988 with the grade rank of sergeant, First Class E7 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Andy met and charmed his " Love of his life," Anh Nguyen at a sandwich and beer stand in Saigon Vietnam in 1971. She definitely made him earn her love, but his persistency paid off and they finally married in May 16, 1975. They've shared almost 50 years of trading loving banters, swapped a ton of witty sarcasms and taking turns being the teacher of their relationship. Andy probably had more achievements and successes during his time in the military than winning the battles he so gracefully yielded to his wife, Anh. Over the past several decades, they both continuously poured their sweat, hearts and souls into their community as they were building their Empire, in hopes of leaving an Amazing Legacy for their two children and three grandkids. And although Andy was a man of many talents and accolades, he was probably an undercover singer, photographer, and a family tree genius/ investigator… lol

Harold's big heart was shared amongst God, his family, his puppies and his church. He leaves behind his beautiful wife Anh, daughter Thu- Ha, son Robert, sister Mava, Brother in-law Son, Sister in-law Kim and three grand children Bryce, Brayden and Destin, his two dogs, Shadow and Nicole, the handful of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Brandt Walker.

Harold Gene Walker's selfless acts of Kindness, Bravery and Strength has not only earned him several walls full of certificates, achievements and accolades, but His firm face ,teddy bear heart and tender spirit has touched many lives in his almost 84 years and we will always cherish His Spirit, His Teachings, His Stories, His Love, His Wisdom and His Wit. We Love You Andy.
