Funeral for SFC (Retired) Elmer E. Carter, 58, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. Sgt Carter died Friday, November 22, 2013 in Lawton. Burial with full military honors will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. He was born December 21, 1954 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Jess and Anna Bell (Finley) Carter. He married Hae Suk Becker on November 30, 2004 in Lawton. Sgt Carter had been stationed in Korea for thirteen years while serving in the Army and retired after twenty three years of service. He then worked as a mechanic at Sears for many years. He was a wonderful husband, good father to his children and a loving grandfather. Survivors include his wife, of the home, three sons and their spouses, Christopher and Maria Carter, Thomas Carter and David and Samantha Becker, all of Lawton, two daughters, Diane Becker, Oklahoma City and Vanessa Berg and her husband Mark, Lawton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Alex, Zariah, Kasia, Devon, Laniah, Madison, Thomas, Jr., Gabriel, Tacoma, Quentin and Chloe and three brothers and their spouses, Kenneth Carter, Duke, Oklahoma, Richard and Nellie Carter, Holland and J. F. and Barbara Carter, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
