He was a Gulf War veteran who served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. While in the Army, Daniel earned the following awards, the Army Commendation Medal, (2 nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5 th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze service stars, Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5 th Award), Kuwait Liberation Medal, and the Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.

We are left with beautiful memories of a father, grandfather, and brother that loved his family so much that he would give his last dollar to whoever needed it. He was the BEST DAD who, when he was not at work, would support a kid or grandchild at one of their events. He was always ready for an adventure and wanted to invite anyone who was available. Daniel worked hard to give us the life he felt we deserved even during hard times when we never went without. Thank you Dad, we are going to miss you so much.

Daniel is survived by his four children, Janiece C. Ervin, Deniece Landry, Daniel Campos, Jr., and Katie Campos, seven grandchildren, Breanna, Miguel, Dorian, Izzy, CJ, Dallas, Brady, and eleven siblings.
