Memorial service with full military honors for SFC (Retired) Charles "Chuck" Young will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hyde officiating.

SFC (Retired) Charles "Chuck" Young, age 60, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Lawton. He was born January 18, 1955 in Joliet, Illinois. He grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee. He married Mary Hyde on October 22, 1999 at Fort Sill.

He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and retired at Fort Sill. Following his retirement he received EMT and Paramedic training and worked at Reynolds Army Community Hospital until 2013. He enjoyed football and was a University of Tennessee and Tennessee Titans fan.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; four sons and their spouses, Joshua Young and Jeremy and Jill Young, all of Georgia, Christopher and Tamara Young and Joseph and Loghan Young, all of Ohio; a daughter, Rachael Young Banks, Georgia; two step sons, Mike Hyde and wife Rita, Massachusetts and Christopher Hyde, Oklahoma; a brother and sister in law, Ed and Arlene Gill; a half brother, Jeff Young; a half sister, LaRhonda Edwards; 16 grandchildren; one great grandson.

His parents and a sister, Sally, preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
