Funeral service for SFC (Retired) Bobby Ray Bumgarner will be 9:30 am Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in New Light United Methodist Church, Lawton, with Rev. Kiyoung Jeong, Pastor officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Bobby Ray Bumgarner, devoted husband and father, passed away in Lawton March 29, 2017 at the age of 60.

He was born on November 25,1956 in High Point, North Carolina. He married Chong Kim on May 31, 1981 in Seoul, South Korea. Bobby served 19 years in the Army where he fought in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.  He returned to Oklahoma in 1993 where he retired and became an over the road truck driver for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Chong Bumgarner, Daughter, Cynthia Chamberlin and her husband Jerry and grandson Jonah. Son, Stephen Bumgarner and his wife Felicia and grandsons Emilio Ramon, Simon Royal and Javier Reign. A brother, Glenn McGee and two sisters, Kimberly Owens and Rebecca Boone.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
